I’m not a product “review person”, but I really felt like I absolutely had to do a review on this dog food and the company/staff at Doc’s Choice.
My dog Rocky had persistent issues with his skin and nearly constant “hot spots”, that required regular application of prescription medicine. I was sure that he had a food sensitivity and tried numerous “high quality” dog foods, but none of them made any difference with his skin problems, until we tried Doc’s Choice Lamb and Brown Rice. Rocky is doing wonderful now, with no scratching or hot spots. Rocky did, however, develop some occasional reflux that concerned me, so I contacted Doc’s Choice to see if it could be related to his new diet. I had called after hours and had to leave a message and was pleasantly surprised to get a call back from the owner of the company. He was very compassionate and knowledgeable, and shared with me that they have a certified animal nutrition expert on staff and frequently consult with veterinarians. He thought that it was likely that Rocky’s digestive tract probably needed some time to adjust to the prebiotics and probiotics in the food. It’s been a few weeks and Rocky is no longer having reflux/spitting up issues. So, it appears that all is good!
I’ve signed up for the automatic monthly shipment to make sure that I don’t forget to order his food (and get a discount), and that has been working out great!
So, in conclusion, we (Rocky and I) are very satisfied customers! Great product, great company!
